Steelseries

steelseries was disappointing. Best button feel but trash software. No on board support. 125 char string assignable. f1-f24 but mouse shift for dual layer and no alt use of mouse wheel.

Cooler Master

cooler master was much better. Hex cutouts look like a stupid gimmick, but give good grip without trashy grippy rubbers. Cord seems a bit cheap. 98 char strings xml profiles are editable multilayer button is not assignable and is awkward. limited options compared to other two.

Roccat

roccat is the best feels good, buttons are nothing special and I am skeptical of scroll wheels with tilt. 240 char strings binary, but exportable macros are not my fav. Well organized and editable macros. Lots of option for assignments. Clean software. Very clear profile management.










Neither coolermaster not roccat were clear about what kind of assignments would work without software and which would not, but it is pretty easy to guess.
